(6,568 posts)I'm doin'. Taking meds for my depression and Parkinson's disease. My wife has had the burden of doing chores by herself for some time and it's become too much for her. So we put the farm up for sale and will be "downsizing" by moving to Spokane county in mid-June. Got a buyer, a family including two young boys who are looking to living here.
Thanks for asking.

(25,103 posts)I'm really sorry, Allan. I know how much you love your farm. What about your animals?

(6,568 posts)Everything is okay. We have enjoyed and been blessed with stewardship of Evensong
Farm (Laurie's name) for twenty-three years and soon a mom and dad with two young boys in their cowboy boots will take it over. With our blessing.
Early on we were caring for a maximum of eleven horses of whom nine were boarders and two of ours. Over time the numbers have come down to two boarders and two still of our own. The boarders will stay here on the farm and the new owners have agreed to keep care of them, along with a few of their own. They will maintain Laurie's obstacle course as well.
Shadow and KC will have to learn how to adapt to their new home, however they and our two horsies will still have the better part of nine acres for roamaround.
Plus I have begun to take pictures again. Just waiting on a new camera card to arrive pretty soon in order to add them to DU.
Thank you again for your support and encouragement all this time,
Allan

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
