I really prefer shooting when it's dark, but that was not an option today. So I did the best I could with the circumstances I had.

The blue of the sky, is replayed in the moon's geographical features, against the bright surface. The moon in the daytime, it's soft not scary.

Your observations are quite right. The daylight brings out the softness.

The moon almost looks like white lace. Very pretty.
