and the likes that flock to the window. Lived in there for at least a year or so, always around the window, and I would watch her as she wandered around the window back and forth. I haven't seen her this year yet...perhaps a descendant will pop up. They don't bother me and I actually like them, they do catch little bugs...

Like you said, they're good at catching a lot of other things that I would definitely not enjoy having around.

I made a point of teaching my daughter about spiders when she was little, telling her that they are our friends, so that she would not grow up to be afraid of them. It must have worked, because she's almost 40 now, and she actually loves spiders!

Of course there are a few varieties that humans need to be wary of, like the black widow and brown recluse spiders, but we live far enough north to be out of their range.

I remember my mom saying that because as a kid, I was afraid of them. As an adult, I don’t care where they are, I still don’t want them anywhere near me! Eeewwww 😱
