What a difference fill flash can make.

Olympus' OM-D E-M10 series cameras have a pop-up flash with various flash settings, including one for fill flash.

Without flash.

With fill flash.

My wife was gifted this dinosaur some time ago. She describes it as a dinosaur with succulent that refuses to die.

9. Instead of flash try using a piece of white cardboard and bounce the light from the window back to the dinosaur..

You'll get a much more natural looking pic..like the one you took of the dog looking out the window...

Back when I was shooting Nikons I used their bounce flash to advantage and the flash lens was fitted with soft box. Thank You.
