I've been there too, in the daytime, so when the opportunity came to see it at night, I leaped at it!

I was not disappointed.

On August 30, 1967, California's elected leaders came together to unify statewide efforts to address severe air pollution. Governor Ronald Reagan (republican) approved the Mulford-Carrell Air Resources Act to create the State Air Resources Board, committing California to a unified, statewide approach to aggressively address the serious issue of air pollution in the state.

Lots of bad things done by ronny for sure, but this was one of the good things.

I've always loved beautiful skylines.
They have their own place in artistic glory.
Yes, I'm serious lol.

I've always loved skylines too, and have always wanted to capture a decent version. I may have succeeded with this one.

I know you're serious; so am I. I agree completely.

of the time in high school when I took a Greyhound bus from Miami to LA (I was young enough to withstand three days and three nights on that bus! ). My boyfriend out there drove me up through Griffith Park to the observatory, then put his hands over my eyes, led me to the front of the observatory, removed his hands...
What a sight! Miles of the valley were lit up like a glittering constellation!

We used to be a lot smoggier than we are now. We still have the smog, but a lot of the clean air rules have really helped to get rid at least some of it.

The ash from recent fires is very sporadic. I don't think we have any significant fires at the moment. And I appreciate your enjoyment of my photo!
