was taken walking the 17th Century village of Culross in Scotland. Fans (like me!)of the books/TV series Outlander would recognize it as the village of Crainesmuir, home to Geillis Duncan, near Castle Leoch. Culross is a lovely little village.

I didn't recognize it. We're waiting for the final season to begin.

I love going for walks at night. Especially in the Fall where the brightly colored leaves seem to glow under the light of the moon. Usually, the photos I take fail to capture the beauty of the leaf canopy. But I think this one does it justice. I guess you just get lucky once in a while!

We don't get much autumn where I live in L.A. I have to drive quite a distance to get a good autumn shot.

I LOVE your photo so much. I remember the time I was in that area and saw my first outdoor cactus field and how I stayed excited and took so many photos..... Seeing yourentry my jaw dropped and the memories rushed in, It is a glorious shot evoking lots of feelings with its depth, suspense, colors and emotions.

I've really learned to love the desert in recent years. A lot of people don't care for it, but I find it beautiful. I'll be heading out there this weekend to photograph the Geminid meteor shower. I'll post some photos when I get back.
