Related: About this forumFlash! My wife Laurie as you've never seen her before. And "assistant".
From cleaning out the water-line ditch to the barn, in the rain, after it was dug by backhoe. (Shadow's worn out from barking with neighbor dogs all morning.)
The aforementioned ditch.

).
Shadow is a mop dog! Very scenic as always.

(448 posts)As a horse besotted teenager, I took care of two horses and a pony for our neighbors. I, of course, mucked out lots of barns. I was paid $15/month and in return was able to ride anytime I wished. When I was a senior in high school, I told the owner I couldn't do it anymore because of a busy schedule. He offered me $30/month. I said I still couldn't do it. His response was, "It's probably more fun to groom and chase boys now, anyway."

(8,913 posts)to the extreme exhausting. The antidote is to ease into a prone position with all four legs extended. This should be done for at least 2️⃣ two hours. There, problem fixed and barking may once again commence.

(3,026 posts)Thanks for bringing it to my attention. In the second photo, Shadow sure doesn't look happy at being disrupted from her sleep or is that her usual "I just woke up" look?

(2,112 posts)They want to keep us bare foot and pregnant in the kitchen. I love power tools, but I could be dangerous with a backhoe. I better stick to my fancy battery operated hedge trimmer and my tiny hand held chain saw as seen on TV.
You go woman! And George, your admiration and love for Laurie shines brightly through, like your gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Keep loving your life!

(12,531 posts)Laurie has a battery-operated chainsaw which does good. It's smaller than the ones loggers use, but is effective. She's alway charging one power tool battery or another. She cracked a smile at "You go woman!" And I shall keep loving life, for which I am eternally grateful. Thank You!
