No perfect group to ask this, but here I do - I use Roku and Sling and CNN gives lots of issues -

about every half hour it freezes up, it kicks me back to the Roku home screen - I have to reconnect back to sling constantly. Netflix and Amazon Prime and Hulu work fine for hours. Problem seems to happen mostly when the ads play.

Anyone else find this issue?

And not just ads! The show stops, reboots and then only restarts occasionally.

My software's updated, I don't know what else to check.

Updated my Roku, deleted and reinstalled Sling, signed out and back in - Still happens - and it is ONLY Sling with CNN that gives me issues.

SO frustrating!

Sling help is not too helpful - they asked me questions I already answered (I suspect it went to a help desk not around here)

My wife had issues with her older Roku. I also had a old one but mine had the cable & worked fine. The wifi was fine so a cheap one from Amazon did the trick. Locally they were 4X the price at least.

Not all TV's have the connector-I'd assume all monitors nowadays do.
Might help.

I can watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc for 6 hours - never a glich. ESPN may do it once each hour.

I have a feeling it is a TV station thing.

I have a Roku TV and subscribe to Sling. Same problem. It usually happens during local commercials. When certain commercials come on that cause the problem, I change channels for a minute. I know this doesn't solve the problem, but I don't know what else to do. It's still better than cable!
