‘Big Bang Theory’ Co-Creator Chuck Lorre Takes Vanity Card Shot At Press Sec. Sarah Sanders

Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre has again played the vanity card in his ongoing war with the Trump administration. This time, he attacked White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in the show’s closing credits and also on Thursday’s Young Sheldon spin-off.

The most recent vanity card took issue with Sanders’s recent interview on the Christian Broadcasting Network in which she claimed that God put President Donald Trump in the White House.

“God told me he hasn’t spoken to Sarah Sanders since she was fourteen years old and praying for her skin to clear up. I have no reason to doubt Him,” read the vanity card.

Nothing in her behavior over the past couple of years has demonstrated that she lives her life following the teachings of the carpenter from Nazareth.

I doubt she even believes in the teachings of the Bible. She wouldn't have learned them at home given the behavior and attitudes exhibited by her father.

She's just another Republican/Trumpian hypocrite.

That's a very interesting article, Fortinbras.

My take away from the article, however, is that the evangelical right has abandoned their morals in support of political ends. This is antithetical to Christianity. Jesus, after all, threw the money changers out of the temple. Huckabee Sanders is simply a poster-child for this kind of nonsense.

Religious leaders such as Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, Jr. make a mockery of Jesus' teachings. And I write this as an atheist who has studied Christianity deeply.

The followers of these hypocritical men-of-the-cloth deserve all of the scorn and detritus that will come their way as their indefensible houses of cards collapse.
