It was confusing and hard to understand what was going on.

loved the series... until

being an empath I don't normally watch such violent shows, but I really was intrigued by Hunters... I invested a fair amount of time, emotion and was loving it until the last episode (I will not include spoilers). The fantasy melded with the reality was good. Throughout, until the last episode, the acting was superb!! very impressive

the last scene with Jonah and Meyer was disappointing, poorly acted and so unbelievable... just my novice opinion but I was really disappointed

The nudity is not sexual, but it is nudity. One was an elderly nazi woman getting into her shower. The other nudity was the male backsides of concentration camp prisoners.

The violence not shown, but described, was disturbing enough. It isn't like bank robber violence, but is more emotionally pernicious.

14 is probably too young. I hate to say "don't watch" because as an older woman, I have fears that young people are not integrating this real history of hate, persecution, and violence. I was listening to music in the car and wondered if The Sound of Music is ever performed any more as a high school play or community theater production. Is the movie ever shown on tv? To me, it is a movie about a family sacrificing for good and their principles in the early days of the third reich. I'm not sure that 21st century kids get it. Of course, there are plenty of other great movies about this period.

BTW, during that time period of the late 1970s, I'm fairly certain that one of the upper middle-aged women I worked with in a part time job was Hitler Youth. Yes, I'm old enough to say that.

I really enjoyed it. It is causing tsuris in the Jewish community, but I thought it was an interesting take. I was a bit thrown by the use of Hebrew in places generally where Yiddish would have been the tongue. However, I read somewhere this was based on the creator's life to some extent, which explained the use of Hebrew over Yiddish. Carol Kane is always great!

My closed captioning had issues spelling things out, and Jonah used "savta" or "safta" vs bubbe. Just one that I noticed.

So, the Jewish community is aggravated by the almost fantastical story line and violence? Or that non-jews were involved? Was it just too weird?

The international Holocaust groups are concerned it will fuel more historical revisionism and denial because some of the Holocaust scenes never happened (chess). I, personally, discount this "objection" because it is a work of fiction anyway, so the idea this series would be more of a vehicle for Holocaust denialism is not an issue for me. The other objection I saw was navel-gazing contemplation of whether or not this was a for of "Jewexploitation", along the same lines of "Black exploitation" movies of the 70's and 80's. Again, to me, this is not a strong argument either because, while there may be some "stereotypes" (aren't there always, though?), it is one of the few pieces where Jews aren't wimps or passive victims, which was one of my only real issues with "The Man of High Castle."

I just finished watching it tonight and it kind of threw me off. I'm not sure about who is who any more.

I was more "concerned" about the nun. I hope they make a second season. I know some didn't like it for reasons above, but I thought it was interesting, the acting was good, and the story moved quickly, unlike many other series where it starts out really slow and one has to wait for three (sometimes more) episodes before things take off.

If you want something odd and different, try "Beforigner". It is in Norwegian, but has subtitles and it is really interesting. It is only 6 episodes. The premise is people start appearing in our time from the past.

I haven't watched it yet.
