Mort Sahl on the 1960 Election (Ed Sullivan Show)

The greatest political/social satirist ever... It's too bad COVID had eliminated his weekly show. Despite being 93, he was STILL the best around. A man who brought up the important issues (not the gossip, trivial) with humor with an x-ray of what's REALLY happening in society.

Mort Sahl has had quite a relationship with JFK.... First, he was hired as a writer when he was running for President... Then when he's elected, he thought JFK was fair game, and all hell broke loose for Mort.. Then after JFK's death, Mort has Mark Lane on his show 5x and gets Jim Garrison on The Johnny Carson Show, and then becomes a deputized member of his staff, almost burying his career.
