he is so creepy when I see a commercial he makes me cringe. I'm not into that kind of food so I don't support them.

It started about 20 years ago and his face, as displayed with the mask, is that of a stoned guy with a "shit-eating grin." When I first saw it in their advertising, I assumed they were targeting the late-night hungry stoner crowd. The fact that it is static (i.e., a mask) with no change of expression kind of adds to the hilarity factor.
