But Floyd won't allow rights, so whenever it's shown (and released on DVD) that scene is cut.

I bet a lot of bands wouldn't give them the rights. I swear that the reruns still have that scene since I saw it a couple of years ago on TV. Maybe I'm hallucinating the whole thing.

I think the Beatles were a no as well. I remember the reruns having generic music and being kinda upset. That show introduced my young brain to. Lot of cool music.

were crushed to death due to festival seating. WKRP had an episode dedicated to that tragedy.

It was my after Mash and pre-Big Bang favorite comedy show. I even named my son Travis, but that was actually mostly because of Travis Beane guitars. When I saw one hanging in the window of a shop in SF, I was totally enraptured at the amazing beauty and then and there said if I ever have a son, I'm naming him Travis, in honor of this so beautiful craftsmanship and the nice guy on tv. About 15 years later, I did exactly that.
