Watching The Ed Sullivan show......yikes, we watched that every Sunday for years....

kinda weird watching it now, Animals the singing group were on last night, Gary Puckett tonight and Leslie Gore, love the Muppets, Alan King, Tony Bennett so many from back in the day. Wow…….Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, he was a baby back then. *sigh* almost hate watching.

9. The Ed Sullivan show was the ONLY show we were allowed to watch back in the early 60s.

.

That's right folks - TV was on for one hour a week - probably considered inhumane today

AND, we only got the old B&W cuz a relative died in 61, and no one else needed, or wanted it.

Looking back, I don't regret having such limited access to the tube.

Now - I practically live on the web

(sigh)

I remember being sent to bed and hearing Ed in the other room announce the Rolling Stones and all I could imagine were huge boulders rolling across the floor. Little did I know at that time they'd be my favorite group years later....
