(105,929 posts)I like Sarah Paulson, but think she made a mistake with this role. Do many really want to relieve that ancient history? Impeaching for a lie about consensual sex (no matter how intensely inappropriate) versus TWO impeachment trials for attempts to overthrow our government and to threaten foreign leaders/actors in assisting? It boggles the mind that this show is coming out now. Does it seek to equate these events?
To each their own. But, I pass.
Perhaps you and others who do watch will come and tell us we missed something important, but...

From the ads I've seen, it looks like real bad casting and bad acting and certainly poor script along with a story that is nothing more than tripe from long ago, so irrelevant that anyone younger than 40 would even be interested in knowing the story, intended to make someone look bad in the public eye.

(33,289 posts)Like I didn't live through Watergate, was in high school during Iran Contra - but I fully remember the hypocrites in the 'Contract on America' house and their shenanigans.
I"m not rewarding Tripp by watching this.

(5,582 posts)It said it was very slanted showing Monica as an innocent who was cruly seduced by a big bad Bill Clinton. So I'm not interested. Although he was a shithead about her, and I've never forgotten nor forgiven.
