how J Depp plowed thru $600m: 14 fully staffed homes, flew exclusively private, 10K a day security

How Johnny Depp plowed through $600m Hollywood fortune: Star spent $75m on 14 fully-staffed homes, bought 45 cars, paid $5m to blast Hunter S. Thompson's ashes from cannon and spent $10,000-A-DAY on security

Johnny Depp, 58, made $600 million between 1999 and 2016, his ex-financial manager told jurors

Joel Mandel testified that the actor's spending habits becoming increasingly irresponsible during that time

Mandel said Depp spent $100,000 per month for an addiction doctor

Depp spent $10,000 a day on security and $300,000 a month on full-time staff

Millions were spent on luxury cars, homes, and traveling exclusively by private plane

Mandel testified that Depp sent $100,000 to Dr. David Kipper every month. Depp hired the doctor in 2014 to help treat his addiction issues after Depp became dependent on opioid medication following a leg injury, he said. Depp and Heard were also each assigned a nurse.

Mandel testified that Depp sent $10,000 to Jerry Judge, Depp's former security manager, every day. Judge was in charge of employing a security team to guard Depp at all times.

Depp also spent $300,000 per month for a full-time staff, many of whom worked at his portfolio of luxury properties.

My hat is off to the old pirate, it takes a lot of effort to piss away that kind of cash, but he did it with style!

Hell, when you’re making $40-80 million per movie, might as well enjoy it. There’s always going to be more.

Right up until someone maliciously derails your career.

I hope he gets his career back.

Depp is 58 years old and he looks like crap. I doubt that many studios are going to give him big roles because his alcoholism and addiction issues make him a big risk for showing up to work. He might be able to get some supporting roles in B-rate movies, but his days of getting marquee roles at top dollar have passed.

Of those houses in Air Bnb to keep him afloat.

This reminds me of Nic Cage’s descent.

Two excellent actors with lots of problems.

if he wants to maintain his playboy lifestyle. I think that he would be better off selling some of those houses rather than going the Air BnB route--too much maintenance and too close to social media. Depp needs to keep a low profile for awhile until he is ready to release a movie.

It’s easy to get into Hollywood shape and right now is a good time for studios to cash in on the controversy. It’s clear he still has a massive fan base. There have never been any stories of him unable to show up for work or being anything other than a professional on set. He’s been partying for years. That’s not a big deal.

There are tons of roles for him out there. Leading men generally don’t age out of the business for a long time.

and the insurance premiums that they will have to pay. What were previously rumors and tabloid gossip have been confirmed under depositions and sworn testimony. The insurance underwriters for the studios will definitely take note and charge the studios accordingly.
It doesn't matter if he has perfect attendance at work or his professional candor is exemplary because it is his personal life that is the problem.

I also believe that some of his fan base will be turned off by the revelations of the trial--tarnished reputations do have an effect. As for myself, I have no intention of visiting any theater as long as COVID is still an issue and I know others that feel the same way. Those factors are what make a resurrected career difficult.

For me Depp is king. Only wish I could have gotten on that roller coaster ride.

Edit to add: Johnny was loved well by many better than Amber Heard.
