Actor Bob Crane was #BornOnThisDay,July 13,1928. Remembered for his role in TV's Hogan's Heroes (1965-'71). Passed in 1978 (age 49) Crane was #murdered, bludgeoned to death, the victim of a homicide. The murder remains officially unsolved. #RIP #gonetoosoon #unsolvedmysteries

Even though he was twelve or so years younger than Crane. My dad's name was also Bob, so any time we went out in public, like to a restaurant, my dad would attract attention for his resemblance to Bob Crane, especially when someone in our party called him 'Bob.'
This happened several times even after Bob Crane's death was reported. Strange way for me to grow up.

This episode of Quincy aired not too long before Bob Crane was murdered. Maybe the police should have considered Jack Klugman a 'Person of Interest'?
