It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share with you the passing of our beloved Tony this morning.
Tony was a beautiful soul - kind, compassionate, funny and humble. It was truly a joy to just be around him. His gentle voice and unpretentious manner was immediately comforting and you could not help but love him. The world has lost an amazing human being, but we are all richer for the memories that he has left us. From the warm reminiscences of Wally Cleaver to those of us fortunate enough to know him personally - thank you Tony. And thank you for the reflections of a simpler time, the laughter, the friendship and for the feeling that you were a big brother to us all.
We will miss you.

(7,962 posts)Leave it to Beaver was a mainstay of my childhood. I still enjoy watching episodes occasionally, especially the older ones where Wally is in high school and getting into trouble because of Eddie.
RIP.

(68,328 posts)And that included Dow's portrayal of older brother, Wally. But still, he did a good job portraying a good-hearted kid who, instead of being a cruel jerk to his younger brother, tried to be a warm sibling and companion. He's essentially the opposite of Kevin Arnold's older brother from "The Wonder Years", even though they took place in roughly the same milieu. He will be missed.

(5,011 posts)I have heard of it but never used it. Not everyone uses or is even familiar with it, so I added the Me TV angle.
Maybe I'll check it out.
