One takeaway from the latest episode of "The Orville" (SPOILER)

So with the Union expelling Moclus and embracing Heveena's colony, I got to thinking...

Are there any constitutional guidelines for the US to expel any states that really got out of hand (I'm sure we can ponder certain examples)?

I know a state can't secede legally but is there "Don't let the doorknob hit your ass" provision hidden somewhere in the annals of American legal code--and that would be weird if not, given existing laws that tell you what position.

Just a thought.

Damn, this is such a good show! I wish there would be more than three seasons.
