The CHiPS roller disco episode.
I remain convinced ABC just rounded up celebrities whose contracts required them to make an unpaid network appearance
* The visibly angry Nancy Kulp
* Dan Haggarty's appearance, where he's shot from a distance with the camera focused on two random people having a voice-overed conversation
* Earl Holliman looking great on roller skates

I mean, you've got Leif Garrett. You've got roller skates. You've got disco. What else do you need? Oh, yeah, bad guys making their getaways on roller skates.

A few days ago, they ran a two-parter, the first two episodes of the third season.
There was a tall blond kid who showed up at 1:04 and again at 1:27. He looked familiar, but I just couldn't place him. I looked up the episode at IMDB. The boy was Philip McKeon. He died in December.

(28,460 posts)The kid being pulled behind the station wagon where they kept showing the same clip over and over!
Then the cops get him home to his sister and instead of telling him he's grounded and confiscating his skates, just tells him to be more careful and he skates off again.
The whole town is on roller skates, too. I could only watch so much of it.

(68,189 posts)It didn't think it was any weirder than anything else in that decade, and I was only ten years old. It was a different time.

(14,595 posts)right by the TV censors. Also the one on the Sandy Becker kids program that my mother and I watched in the mid/late 1950's. I bust out laughing and that was the time she found out her 8 yo son knew what sex was all about. Classic..
I'd repeat them but I don't want to offend..
