Related: About this forumHas anyone watched Pelosi's documentary by her daughter yet?
It is called Pelosi In The House and was documented by her filmmaker daughter. It has been promoted on several MSNBC shows this past week. It is on HBO and HBO Max. I watched it and was very, very impressed but the sound of tRump's voice makes me want to puke, as usual. I am so proud of the Dems for making her Speaker. I am also so glad that my last costume for Halloween (pre-Covid) I was Nancy in the signature red coat, brown bobbed hair and sunglasses. My very Blue neighborhood had a ton of little RBGs running all over the streets the previous Halloween so most people knew who I was, especially when I did the "extended flat hand clapping" that Nancy did to tRump after his lying SOTU speech. I even put my atheistic judgments aside when she went to visit the Pope and talks about praying and being a Catholic. I wish she did punch tRump in the face...I have wanted to do that for over 6 years and I am a 5'1" pacifist. I want to punch my TV when I hear his voice (like nails on a chalkboard) and almost did again while watching this film. I don't know how she controlled herself.

(7,959 posts)Alexandra is an excellent filmmaker, not just her daughter. She does a very good job of weaving the many personal elements of Nancy's life with the political journey she has been on, basically since she was child,
I had to skip through the parts with the orange anus but I did watch the end when they were facing the mob violence. Nancy Pelosi was magnificient, working the phones and doing everything and anything they could to get help. Except for the punch remark, she was remarkably calm during the assault. You could tell she really cares about her staff, too, and I imagine they are very loyal. Oh, I found out her brisk walk is a thing she does all the time. That was cool.
