The Munsters wish you a Merry Christmas, including two actors with political connections. Al Lewis (Grandpa) ran for Governor of New York (Green Party) in 1998, and Pat Priest (Marilyn) was daughter of Treasurer of United States under Eisenhower.

(18,081 posts)1. Ivy Baker Priest- I remember her signature on money. I just have to laugh at Herman Munster.

(48,582 posts)2. Grandpa Al Lewis had one of the best radio talk shows ever.
WBAI (Pacifica Radio) out of NYC. He didn't hold back in his criticism of both political parties. He had no patience for callers who wanted to waste his time and not talk about issues. He continued with his wife, Karen, until he was too ill to even broadcast from his home. WBAI dedicated three hours of programming (during his time slot) to broadcast his "Going Home" service.
I miss him desperately.
