Related: About this forumJudge Wapner brings The People's Court to The Tonight Show in Carson-Letterman dispute
I think this is one of the funniest bits from the Carson years. To set this up, in 1986, Johnny Carson and David Letterman lived near each other in Malibu. Carson said that Letterman used to park his worn battered looking truck in a remote section of Malibu, where a lot of celebrities live. Carson complained about visitors to his home seeing the truck.
The first clip introduces the situation. The second shows how it was resolved with the help of Judge Joseph Wapner. (And Wapner has a great sense of humor.)
