(106,337 posts)fully deserved to be held civilly liable (as he was) but in no way criminally responsible. It was one of the saddest deadly episodes to ever occur on a set, for sure and the loss of that young director is beyond tragic.
That said, if Lorne Michaels is giving a subtle nod to give Baldwin a chance with that little cameo, I find no scandal in that, (if that is being suggested). RWers will be outraged and probably also a few non-political viewers, though. But the former only underscores how political the initial prosecutor's decision to try him criminally (the case later dropped for contradictory evidence)-- and now to refile charges. YMMV
