On December 21, 1990, the "A Little Miracle" episode of "Quantum Leap" was aired.
Because I watch TV over the air, I watch a lot of old TV shows from the '50s, '60s, '70s, and '80s. At this time of year, I see a lot of Christmas episodes of shows. COZI TV is running back-to-back episodes of "Quantum Leap" tonight (in 2017). The Christmas episode that was just on was about a real estate developer who was hell-bent on evicting a mission so that he could build a tower named after himself -- the Blake Tower. Sam (Scott Bakula) and Al (Dean Stockwell) came up with a ruse that made him see the error of his ways. He renounced his greed, and even though he did go ahead with building the Blake Tower, he made room for the mission on the ground floor.
The character who needed help in tonight's Christmas episode of "Quantum Leap" was clearly based on Donald Trump. Trump has been regarded in such a fashion for decades, so this likeness could hardly come as a surprise. See Gary Trudeau's comics if you don't believe me. The earliest "Doonesbury" in Trudeau's book "Yuge!" in which Donald Trump makes an appearance is dated September 14, 1987.
