Some are pretty ludicrous, though.

The one scene I can't unsee is (IIRC) Dabney Colman (or a facsimile thereof) at a traffic light with a camera, creating an alibi.

But what the heck, I'm a photographer and I notice little details.

Calling all Peugeot fans! All both of you.

Sacre Bleu. Quel merde.

investigator can prove that the privileged, rich, greedy and mainly white prime suspects can't and shouldn't get away with murder!
It feels so relevant to what's happening these days.

That it's a howdunit rather than a whodunit adds tension to soft-boiled Columbo's unraveling of so many "perfect" murders.

The guest stars are a parade of fine actors.

A nice twist on detective stories.

That was when you knew that Columbo was about to drop the hammer on someone. I used to watch it all the time back in the day. And yes, he had a nice 'who's who' of guests on there.

He's in Germany for an acting gig and he has the ability to sense the presence of angels, having been one himself. The kids yell "Hey! Columbo!" when they see him on the street.

My mom loved mysteries but not Columbo bc you knew who the killer was right away. So we didn't watch it in the 70s. I watch it free now on TUBI. it has all the episodes and newer movies.
