HBO on cable, or stream it on the Max app. Both require a subscription.

Its darkness, both in storyline and appearance turned us off. At our age all that snow and ice was a turn off. Perhaps all the bad news elsewhere was a factor?

Struggled through two episodes and decided that was enough - too depressing and bleak.

Missed last night's episode, but will catch it tonight.
I was attracted to the first season, years ago, by its allusions to Ambrose Bierce's, Robert Chambers' and H.P.Lovecraft's series of stories concerning Hastur, Carcosa and The King In Yellow. The bleakness and eternal night of Alaska nicely echoes the despairing atmosphere of these author's stories. I see echoes of the Plain of Leng and Kadath In The Cold Waste, not to mention Cassilda's Song from Chamber's play "The King In Yellow".
Then, of course, there's Jodi Foster. What an actor! Her character is unpleasantly abrasive, and fascinating to watch. I want to find out what makes that cop tick.

the retro store where I had a booth. Proud to say that one of my 1977 articles of clothing appears in the show! Then I went back and viewed the first and second series.

adds to the moodiness. This season is more like Season 1, which I also loved, than Seasons 2 and 3. This is a mystery with supernatural and potentially mythological elements tied to Inuit culture. Both lead actresses are strong women playing equally strong characters.

It's the one show right now that's "can't miss" for me. I look forward to it. On Sunday evening, I'm ready to become immersed in this weird, ooky (sorta like spooky, but not quite) world. Excellent television!

weird to say the least.

Anyway, does anyone else notice that almost every scene has a christmas tree in it? It reminds me of Eyes Wide Shut in that regard.
