Related: About this forumAnyone following NCIS ORIGINS ?
I’ve missed an episode maybe 2 , and have been enjoying it . Just catching on to the story lines and new characters.
But also watching the old NCIS and tonite’s episode is about The Calling.
The terrorist children from Iraq ? where Jethro is shot and almost dies , etc. But interesting is that Gibbs Origin’s boss appears as a ghost in the episode , and Gibbs who almost dies from the gunshots has a dream while on the operating table where he is looking at portraits on a wall of ppl in his past , and the actor who plays young Gibbs in Origins is in a pic of young Gibbs …
I wonder how long the new series was in the works with blending of the new series in the old series.
Hope this makes sense .

(26,292 posts)So I’ve seen 4 or 5 ? The last one was really good , and I’m starting to tie some of the past of origins to the themes of the original NCIS …
But it was weird to see the pic of the origins Gibbs in the show from season 12 ( of 22 seasons) of NCIS … and his origins boss Mike , as a ghost in the old show ( different actor than Origins , but some resemblance to him) with the same attitude as the young Mike.
While watching the calling , and the ghost of Mike started appearing to rag on Gibbs , I was asking myself ‘who is this angry guy’? And about the time I guessed it was Mike they revealed him as the old boss of Gibbs.
Again , that’s some long range planning .

(15,102 posts)It was kinda sorta draggy in the first episodes but the more recent ones are not bad. Not great but not bad.
I'll still keep watching..

(26,292 posts)And Bishop had left , and Ducky gone , and Dinozo gone too , the new characters didn’t have the same spark as the old . The show is different but ok .
Apparently there’s 10 shows in this season of Origins so there’s 3 left.
Tonite at 10 pm is #8
