Related: About this forumI just read online that the season finale of Matlock is in two weeks, April 23
The show starts late in the season; shows maybe five new episodes; goes on hiatus for "winter break"; comes back in March; shows maybe six new episodes; and then the season is over.
What the hell? I'm old enough to remember when shows had new episodes from September all the way until the beginning of June. Bygone days.

(114,070 posts)1. Yeah. A season of shows used to be 22 or more episodes. Now 13 or less (especially streaming services)
I liked Matlock's first season, but it got a little repetitive so I haven't watched this season. How is/was it?

(2,832 posts)2. I like it. There are a lot of twists
and seriously, who doesn't like Kathy Bates? She is so talented.
On the show, I especially Iike the relationship between Matty and Olympia.

(6,547 posts)3. Fawlty Towers, the BBC classic sitcom with John Cleese,
aired 12 episodes across two series (seasons) in 1975 and 1979. That was all.
