Not long ago, I visited Monument Valley for the first time. Of course, before my visit, I thought I knew it well from many decades of watching Western TV shows and movies. It was a profound experience to realize the size and grandeur of that place. Paradoxically, I didn't feel small in relation to the landscape; but rather, I felt expansive. It really brought home how interconnected we are with the earth and to all those (human, flora, fauna, and mineral) that call this planet our collective home. Beautiful photo.
