First I had to sign in and give all my info and the usual ask me my name and address etc.

The clerk handed me a long sheet of paper about 11 in long and about 5" wide.. the machine put some info at the top of the paper.

They they showed me to a machine. I put the paper into a slot and it sucked it into the tough screen.

I went through my ballot and it showed me all my selections on the screen and asked me to confirm.

I did and the machine spit out the piece of paper with my selections printed on it in human readable form, 1 line per ballot selection.

A voting attendant then showed me when to insert my ballot. I did and it sucked it in and he said counted my vote and my ballot dropped into the safe, to be handed counted if needed.

No lan cable seen anywhere.

Called the county clerk and they are ESS model 5240

A risk limiting audit of the voter verified paper ballot would close the loop brilliantly.
