I have to drive 434 miles on Tuesday to get a yellow fever vaccination.

I need a certificate of vaccination to enter Kenya next month. There is no place in the entire state of Arkansas that can provide the vaccine. I called the state Department of Health and they had no idea where to get one. So, I get to drive to Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Slightly older article showing some in Little Rock:

https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/page/search-for-stamaril-clinics#ak

Because of a total depletion of YF-Vax, the manufacturer (Sanofi Pasteur) has worked with CDC and the US Food and Drug Administration to make an alternative yellow fever vaccine, Stamaril, available at select locations until YF-Vax supply returns (more information).*

Click a pin on the map below to find the address of a Stamaril clinic. Zoom for more detail.

Travelers and clinicians are encouraged to periodically check this site for updates. Any site changes will be reflected in the Stamaril site locator.

someone else said, might be to try to arrange a stop in Europe to get one on the way.

Kinda curious why the shortage, but don't have the time to look for it.

with the Arkansas Department of Health two days ago and they had zero information. I called ALL of the clinics within 150 miles of me on their list and NONE have the vaccine.

P.S. That includes the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

13. It is a problem recognized by the CDC, but not AR Health Dept.

Only a limited number of clinics in the United States have the vaccine. Yellow fever vaccine is the best protection against yellow fever disease, which can be fatal.

Keep in mind that the nearest yellow fever vaccination clinic may be some distance away from where you live, and appointments may be limited. Contact the clinic ahead of time to make sure the clinic has the vaccine.

We're being sent to Passport Health in Oklahoma City, 217 miles away from me.

Because the LDS church sends their missionaries all over the world, they can be a good resource for where to get some of the more exotic vaccinations.
Just an idea.
