The Log Cabin Democrat reported that the study on the Pegasus pipeline shows that other pipelines manufactured around the same time are also susceptible to failure.
U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin, R-Ark., told the newspaper that ExxonMobil officials told him that its own testing of the pipeline didn't reveal any problems. The company evaluated the pipeline to detect cracks in February, and the pipeline ruptured in March, forcing about 20 families from their homes.
The report by Hurst Metallurgical Research Laboratory in Texas was provided to ExxonMobil and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration in July. The Log Cabin Democrat obtained a copy of the report Thursday.
Spokesman Aaron Stryk said ExxonMobil only has preliminary results of the February tests.
Internal data of course shows that there were stress problems and seam problems...
Our state is SOOO f*cked. Pipe line spills into the Arkansas River; fracking in the mid state causing earthquakes and water problems and now in the nw...one of the most beautiful places in the state, the power companies are trying to erect an 80 mile long 150 tall, 30 feet in the earth 345 kv transmission line on one of the oldest mountains with rare flora and fauna and riddled with caves witha width of 150 feet (2 football field lengths almost.)

When they lose major tourism dollars, never to be seen again, they might possibly wake up. There is a huge push back on the transmission line up in Berry/Eureka Springs area, and they are getting major support. It seems that some "person" finds the most pristine area's in this country and wants to frack them up with some nasty, polluting "energy" output. It's getting ridiculous.

I can only hope that someone picks up this story. It is the story of the end of life on planet if this goes through.
