I couldn't believe that the family was told that if it was an actual emergency, that they were supposed to call for an ambulance at $1,400 a pop with insurance. Not that everyone has that kinda cash just sitting around for an ambulance call.
I told my DH if he could get into the car, I would take him and do the exact same thing - put on the emergency flashers and drive him - he can do the same for me. Hospital bills are high enough without that extra cost.
