Petition to remove Fairfield Bay mayor will be on November ballot

FAIRFIELD BAY (KATV) — A petition to remove Fairfield Bay Mayor Jackie Sikes will be placed on the ballot for the 2024 General Election in the city.

"We The Majority" are the business and community leaders who took the lead for the recall. The petition was submitted for approval to the Van Buren and Cleburne County Clerks in January 2024. "We The Majority", from January through July, asked the community if they were happy with Sikes's actions and performance of duties.

The petition group provided Fairfield Bay citizens with reasons and documents as to why they should sign the petition for the recall. Some of these are listed below.
