LITTLE ROCK, Ark. This flu season has been rough in Arkansas and nationwide, with thousands of hospitalizations and deaths.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, an estimated 13,000 people have died from the flu. Here in Arkansas, 47 people have died, including one child.
There are many other children with the flu in the state fighting for their lives, including 13-year-old Elsie Littrell.
Elsie is from Rogers and has been at the Arkansas Childrens Hospital in Little Rock since Saturday.

Note: Mom said she was NOT vaccinated.

Pharmacist told me that is how it is supposed to work..

(1,994 posts)we ever got our son vaccinated for flu when he was a child. (He left home for college in 2005; we did get the recommended meningitis vaccine for him before he left for college.)
