LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will hold its Poll Monitor Orientation 10am-1pm 10/15/22
Send on behalf of the Community Voter Outreach Section.
Hello,
Ahead of the November 2022 General Election, the LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will hold its Poll Monitor Orientation. This will take place on Saturday, October 15th, from 10 AM to 1 PM. The Poll Monitor Hotline has been established to provide cities, community-based organizations, nonpartisan entities and partisan groups direct access to RR/CC staff who can assist with issues that vote center observers may encounter during the voting period. It also serves as a resource to educate poll monitors (vote center observers) with policies, procedures, and best practices.
The Poll Monitor Orientation includes an overview of LA Countys voting model (vote by mail and vote centers), guidelines related to observing at voting locations, public health guidelines, an overview of election worker training, and other election-related items. It also discusses is how your organization can report any issues during the in-person voting period. If your organization in planning in-field observation, this orientation is a useful resource.
The orientation will be held virtually. Although the orientation is open to anyone, we ask that interested individuals RSVP with Mike Iturralde at miturralde@rrcc.lacounty.gov.
Resource materials for this orientation will be sent prior to the meeting.
Thank you,
Lia N. Kolangian l lkolangian@rrcc.lacounty.gov
