being hospitalized/treated - 3 kids in 2 families - for RSV. Something I've never heard of. Non-smokers, healthcare professionals.

over the last 3 days.

Initially 40% of kids were out sick and now it is 50% of the student body out sick. And this is high school...they never go out sick unless it is really bad.

All of the scientists and doctors are trying to wrap their heads around this one, most are still baffled. They have surmised that this huge increase of the Flu is a result of lowered flu antibodies. I don't buy this answer though. If people wore masks, etc during severe Covid outbreaks over the last two years and their natural Flu antibodies are not as strong as before Covid, then everybody would be seeing huge Flu increases this year. They aren't. Germany is seeing a strong, new wave of Covid right now. It will then get worse in the US. There are no reporting of sudden and dramatic flu numbers like this anywhere else in the world. Why is this one, very specific area seeing such a sudden and dramatic number of flu cases?

This does not make sense to me.

I got both my Covid and Flu shots 10 days ago. For the 2 Covid vaxxes and the first 2 boosters I always had to wait, make appointments, etc. I haven't seen a single person in line for a new vaxx at all. No one is getting boosted. Hello, Winter and Covid Wave #? You are being welcomed with open arms.
