Did it really snow at the famous Hollywood Sign?

Short answer: Perhaps a little bit

A cold winter storm hitting Southern California dropped snow levels down to roughly 1,500 feet in many areas, including metropolitan Los Angeles.

Sky5 captured video of what appears to be a dusting of snow on homes and vehicles just below the famous Hollywood Sign, located at 1,578 feet in elevation, Thursday morning.

A KTLA viewer also shared video of what appears to be snow or graupel on cars in Beverly Hills.

Light snow fell in areas of Santa Clarita Valley, Simi Valley, La Crescenta, La Cañada Flintridge, Sun Valley and elevated areas of Riverside County and San Bernardino County.

They found some of it accumulated on rooftop, decks and in crevices up top of Mt. Lee.
With what is happening right now....massive winds, some thunder but not much yet and rain - not that heavy but could be soon maybe there will be more of the same or even snow if the temperatures up there drop low enough. The system is supposed to drop lower.

Power is out here in the Hollywood Hills and the sirens have been non-stop for the last couple of hours prior to two transformers zapping out.
