City of Pacific Grove moves forward with ballot measure to potentially reduce city council size

The City of Pacific Grove is going to have voters to decide in November whether the size of the city council should change.

On Wednesday night, city council moved forward with a ballot measure that would reduce the number of city council members from six to four.

According to a city report, this makes sense because Pacific Grove remains a very small city of approximately 15,000 residents.

Back in 2022, ballot measure O would have reduced the council size to 4 members, however, the city said it was rejected by only 13 votes.
