Kamala Harris' S.F. fundraiser expected to raise $12 million, with Nancy Pelosi as featured speaker

Vice President Kamala Harris’ fundraising event Sunday in San Francisco is expected to raise $12 million and attract 700 attendees, the Chronicle has learned.

Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi will be the featured speaker, other than Harris. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Harris’ vice presidential pick, will not be there, according to a campaign spokesperson.

The fundraiser at the Fairmont Hotel will be Harris’ first trip to San Francisco, where she lived and served as district attorney, since launching her presidential campaign and her first fundraiser since choosing Walz as her running mate last week.

Donors needed to spend at least $3,300 to enter the fundraiser; tickets costing less than $250,000 were sold out as of Thursday morning. The top ticket is $500,000, according to an invitation obtained by the Chronicle.
