Measures on Fresno County's ballot ask voters to approve huge sums. See the details here Read more at: https://www.fres

Fresno County has a total of 21 local measures that will appear on the Nov. 5 general election ballots in various parts of the county. Where you live will determine how many of these you’ll be asked to consider on or before Election Day.

Most of the measures involve school bonds. A dozen school districts, including a pair of community college districts, are asking voters to approve general obligation bonds that would increase property tax assessments to pay for improvements for facilities and other needs. Collectively, if all of those bond measures are approved by voters, they would add up to more than $2 billion in new bonded debt.

In addition to the school bonds, however, there are other issues coming before voters in various communities, from raising or maintaining higher sales taxes for government services, to term limits for elected officials, changing elected positions to appointed jobs, expanding the membership of a local fire district board, and approving a proposed annexation.
