Ballots among items stolen during Sacramento County post office burglary, sheriff says

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — Two United States post offices were broken into overnight in south Sacramento County and thieves stole laptops and mail the sheriff’s office said Thursday. The stolen mail included election ballots at one of the locations.

The sheriff’s office said one of the locations that was burglarized was the post office on C Street in Isleton and the other was on Highway 160 in Ryde.

Isleton post office workers said that the office’s back door was broken into and the thieves stole a laptop computer and mail.

At the Ryde location, the burglars pried open a front door and stole another laptop computer and mail that had been put in P.O. boxes. Some of that mail included the ballots, the sheriff’s office said.

So now we know another way Republicans will cheat in this election. I doubt Democrats would commit such a crime. Lonestarblue Friday #2

Prevent people from getting mail ballots and then break in to steal completed ballots on the way to election offices. Do post offices now need to hire armed guards to protect from these miscreants?
