(13,748 posts)They are sucking the life's blood out of the working class and poor.
The message they are sending is the lives of the poor are not worth saving.
What the hell has happened to cause decency, morality, honesty, integrity, education, unions, and social services to be the targets of such vile hate ?
When did we start to reward people who commit crimes.
When did we start to admire them.
When did we start to defend them after their guilt has been revealed.
When did we decide that some people are just to powerful to control.
When did we decide that the powerful should have control over every aspect of our lives.
I had no input on these decisions.
I didn't vote these people into positions of power.
No one can be angrier or more disappointed at the direction this country is headed then I am.
I don't want to punish or imprison the weakest among us.
I want to raise them up.
I want to improve their lives.
I want to relieve their constant state of worry and stress.
I am an Atheist and I find the policies and attitude in this country to be cruel and inhumane.
I am constantly bombarded by citizens, politicians, radio personalities, charities, and churches fervently stating that the United States of America was founded on Christians principles.
I am told that United States of America is a Christian Nation.
I am told that our founding fathers intended for the United States of America to be a Christian Nation.
I know these things are not true, factually incorrect, lies or whatever name you want to attach to it.
What I do not know, is why all the people who believe these things to be true, go out of their way to prove the opposite ???

(27,161 posts)Seems the fire district could go to the taxpayers and ask for a raise. Usually mountain communities support their fire districts.
We've been saying it for years: The rich are buying up the cops, firefighters, EMT's, etc. Pretty soon, you'll have to punch in a cc# for just placing a call to 911.
