we went last weekend and it was lovely to get away for a night.

storm rolled in and cut the visit short
manitou springs arcade. we played games and then stopped in a biker dive bar for a beer.
cliff dwellings
about halfway up pikes peak
near the summit of pikes peak (we turned around a couple miles below because we were both so stressed out by the drive). it was so frigid that i didn't get many pics.

husband wasn't hot on the idea, but he went in with me anyway.
i'd never been to maintou before and it was nice to see somewhere new. a bit like estes but more hippy-ish.

i've been saying this for years, but i'm actually going to make it up for frozen dead guy days next year. i'll put that on the list
