Rep. Ken Buck faces constituents who place health care first
Rep. Ken Buck met Saturday morning with a group of about 30 people in a town hall-style meeting inside the Weld County Southwest Services Complex in Longmont that was coordinated with an Indivisible Longmont group.
The meeting was organized with a discussion agenda that was to include health care, the environment, women's issues, and the possible collusion between President Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia.
The 90-minute meeting, however, ended up being dedicated almost entirely to questions about Buck's positions on health care.
The meeting came off the heels of the House Republicans pulling a vote on a replacement for the Affordable Care Act on Friday because it likely wouldn't have passed. Buck, who represents Colorado's 4th Congressional District did not say what his vote would have been but he said he wouldn't vote for a bill that wasn't an improvement upon the ACA.
