Colorado Springs can again feed its Blue Bell craving

About eight months into her pregnancy, Hannah Patterson can worry about one less thing - her ice cream craving.

Before this week, she had to accept the fact that she couldn't go through her pregnancy with a bowl of Blue Bell ice cream. But now that stores across Colorado Springs will be stocked with the brand, Patterson couldn't be more excited.

"I craved it through my whole pregnancy," said the Colorado Springs native, whose favorite Blue Bell flavor is cookie dough.

Texas-based Blue Bell began reintroducing its ice cream Monday into stores across Colorado. In April 2015, stores in 10 states stopped selling the brand after a listeria outbreak that was linked to the ice cream. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, 10 people were hospitalized and three deaths were reported in Kansas.
