It portrayed Romney as an amazing businessman who made everything more efficient. Worked well with Democrats. Got things done with strength and clarity.

And poor Obama was a mixed up multicultural kid who was an idealist who became president almost as a fluke. An amazing interesting intellectual who came in to Washington with big dreams but just didn't realize what he was up against.

There was a lot of detail about Romney's missionary days, then his business career was shown in a positive light, and his days as governor were shown as him trying to solve problems in a government full of Democrats. But somehow he got it done.

Barry was dragged to Indonesia and then sent off to Hawaii. And then went off to Occidental then Columbia then two seconds community organizer then Harvard Law School then 2004. If he's supposed to be an intellectual with a grand vision for the world, they didn't take much time to explore that intellect. They didn't talk much about his mother and what was going on at the time they lived in Indonesia. And his high school days in Hawaii were talked about. But not Mitt's school days. And they didn't talk much about the president's work as a community organizer or state senator.

This was Frontline trying to show how they could be objective by being nice to the Republican who they are supposed to hate.

They talked about the opposition to President Obama as though it was all natural grass roots stuff. Totally ignoring the multi-million dollar coordinated campaigns to defeat him from the day he first took office.

There were some mild critical comments about Romney, but the bulk of the show gave the impression that he was a good solid guy who meant well, although he had flipped his liberal positions to pander to his party veering to the right.
