Initiative 97 Colorado Rising

Have not read much about the effort to get 98,000 signatures to put Initiative 97 to move back fracking from schools and homes on the Nov. ballot (except in the Boulder Weekly) until today when the Denver Post finally covered it. The contracting company had taken at least 15,000 signatures out of state to "assess" them; they were recovered today by Colorado Rising going to court.

Wrote to Jared Polis about how sad and disappointed I am that he will not support this very much needed initiative. I know he has backed Colorado Big Oil and Gas and made a loot of his money from them (and that's how most reps are elected in Colorado) but I think he has enough money to finally stand up to "Protect Colorado" lies. He has been a great rep for my district, has worked hard to protect Colorado's environment and I know will be a great governor and support all the progressive policies I care about. Just wish Colorado could get out of the pocket of big oil.
