Irony of Big Oil intimidating petition signature gatherers.

You may have seen the TV ad against amendment 97 (2500 foot setback requirement for new oil wells from homes). In the ad, the commentator talks about pushy signature gatherers. Ironically, Big Oil has hired people to harass the petition gatherers and those signing the petitions! According to interviews in the Boulder Weekly, these harassers have even followed the petition gatherers home!

though I don't know many people who read it. The Post and Camera finally got around to covering this very important initiative but certainly not to the degree that Big Oil and Protect Colorado has. It's also hard to find out where to sign the petitions. These energy companies need to be brought to court.
